Well, the Orioles haven’t slowed down.
After signing both Suk-min Yoon and Ubaldo Jimenez last week, the O’s kept going by signing free agent slugger Nelson Cruz this week.
Although Cruz was the subject of controversy after serving a suspension for his role in the Biogenesis scandal last season, many Orioles, including Chris Davis and Nick Markakis, said that they will welcome Cruz. In addition, a group of Orioles, including Markakis, Davis, Adam Jones, Manny Machado, J.J. Hardy, Matt…Well, the Orioles haven’t slowed down.

Hardy, Matt Wieters, Tommy Hunter and Darren O’Day sat in on Cruz’s intro press conference, which you can watch here.
While there were intrasquad games and other news to discuss this week, I’ll leave you with this story that you may have heard about over the last few days.
Hall of Famer Frank Robinson visited O’s camp this week. While he was walking through the facilities with Buck Showalter, the O’s manager asked 19-year-old outfielder Josh Hart if he recognized Robinson. When Hart said no, Showalter assigned him a research paper on the Hall of Famer.
