Showalter told reporters this morning that Joseph would be reassigned and catch left-hander Wei-Yin Chen Monday afternoon in a Triple-A game at Twin Lakes Park.
Joseph flied out in the 10th inning today with the potential winning run on first base to complete a 7-7 tie with the Pirates. He went 1-for-2, and was 3-for-16 with an RBI this spring.
With the moves, the Orioles now have 41 players at major league spring training, including seven non-roster invitees.
