Orioles shortstop J.J Hardy has been scratched from today’s lineup due to another spasm in his lower back.
Ryan Flaherty will move to shortstop, with rookie Jonathan Schoop playing third base.
The Orioles announced that the spasm is located in a different spot from the one that forced him out of Friday’s lineup.
So much for that stat about Hardy hitting three home runs off Tigers starter Justin Verlander last season.
