The Orioles today announced that they have recalled RHP Preston Guilmet (pronounced GILL-met) from Triple-A Norfolk.
Guilmet, 26, is 2-1 with a 5.65 ERA (14.1IP, 9ER) and four saves in 12 games for the Tides since being acquired from the Cleveland organization on April 7. In 2013, Guilmet posted a 1.68 ERA (64.1IP, 12ER), 20 saves and 10.1 strikeouts per 9.0 in 49 games with Triple-A Columbus.
