Jones’ seventh home run of the season measured 347 feet. He also singled in the first inning.

The lead didn’t last long.

Adrian Beltre led off the bottom of the fourth with a home run to left field to tie the game. He’s now 7-for-19 with two homers lifetime against Ubaldo Jimenez, who still doesn’t have a clean inning tonight.

Beltre’s home run measured 376 feet, but it counted just as much as Jones’ ball.

Jimenez needed only nine pitches to complete the first inning, but he threw 25 in the second while stranding two runners. He’s up to 62 through the fourth.

Jimenez walked three of the first seven batters. He was aided by Elvis Andrus’ double play grounder after Shin-Soo Choo walked to lead off the bottom of the first.

Update: Delmon Young singled with one out in the sixth to score Adam Jones and break a 1-1 tie.

Young has two RBIs since May 10. He’s 4-for-13 with five RBIs lifetime against Saunders.

Jones led off with his third hit, making him 26-for-56 vs (.464) against left-handers this season. He only advanced to second on Chris Davis’ single off the left field fence, then moved to third on J.J. Hardy’s fly ball to right.

Update II: Jimenez allowed one run and four hits in 5 2/3 innings, with four walks, five strikeouts and one home run. He threw 101 pitches, 62 for strikes.

Brian Matusz replaced Jimenez and stranded two runners. He’s stranded 18 of 21 inherited this season and 64 of 72 since 2012.

Caleb Joseph singled leading off the top of the seventh, making him 3-for-32 this season.

Down on the farm, Steve Clevenger went 4-for-4 with five RBIs tonight for Triple-A Norfolk, including a two-out, two-run double in the ninth inning.

Update: Robinson Chirinos led off the bottom of the seventh with a home run to tie the game 2-2.

Matusz has allowed three home runs this season, including two in his last three appearances.
