Orioles manager Buck Showalter has pushed back left-hander Wei-Yin Chen to the weekend series against the Mariners, as I suggested yesterday.
Chen threw eight scoreless innings Thursday night in Seattle. Also, left-handers are hitting .298 against Chen this season and the Angels are batting .278 against southpaws. May as well match him up against the Mariners.
Here are the starters for the series against the Angels at Camden Yards:
Tuesday: Chris Tillman (7-5, 3.92 ERA) vs. Jered Weaver (11-6, 3.36 ERA)
Wednesday: Kevin Gausman (4-3, 3.67 ERA) vs. Garrett Richards (11-3, 2.62 ERA)
Thursday: Bud Norris (6-7, 3.94 ERA) vs. Tyler Skaggs (5-5, 4.49 ERA)
