WASHINGTON – Nothing much to report on Jim Johnson’s bullpen session today in Sarasota. He completed it and the Orioles are still interested in signing him to a minor league deal.
Scott McGregor watched Johnson’s workout today at the Ed Smith Stadium complex.
The Orioles remain the favorites to sign Johnson to a minor league deal. The only way he probably goes elsewhere is if a team steps up with a major league offer.

Meanwhile, the Orioles have four consecutive series wins for the first time this season. They’re 20-9 since June 30 and lead the Blue Jays by 3 1/2 games in the American League East.
The Orioles are 6-4 in interleague games this season and 143-170 since its inception in 1997. They’re 64-55 against the National League from 2008 to 2014.
The Orioles have scored five runs in their last 10 games. However, their pitching staff has posted a 2.03 ERA in the last 13 games.
Nick Markakis and Adam Jones have played in all 110 games for the Orioles, the only set of teammates to appear in every game for their club this season.
Manny Machado is batting .370/.395/.593 (30-for-81) in his last 20 games since July 5.
