De Aza, a left-handed hitter, plays all three outfield positions and owns a .986 career fielding percentage.

Chalas, 22, was 3-4 with a 4.48 ERA in 30 relief appearances between Triple-A Norfolk (two games) and Single-A Frederick (28). He was 24-21 with a 3.73 ERA in five minor league seasons.

Blackmar, 22, was 10-1 with a 3.18 ERA in 26 games (18 starts) for Frederick in 2014. In four seasons in the Orioles organization, Blackmar was 21-13 with a 3.75 ERA.

We’re waiting to speak with executive vice president Dan Duquette. We also need to find out whether De Aza will show up Monday when rosters can expand.

De Aza, who spent his first two major league seasons with the Marlins, isn’t eligible for free agency until 2016.

It’s fair to wonder how this deal will impact David Lough, a left-handed-hitting outfielder who has been used mostly as a defensive replacement.

As for tonight’s game, Jimmy Paredes hit his first home run as an Oriole to break a 1-1 tie in the sixth inning. It came off Twins reliever Brian Duensing.

Update: The Orioles’ bullpen allowed its first run in 19 innings when Joe Mauer singled off Andrew Miller to score Brian Dozier in the seventh and tie the game 2-2.
