The O’s scored five in the 5th and four in the 9th on the way to Sunday’s 10-2 win over the White Sox. The Orioles out-hit Chicago in all three games of this series.
In the series, the O’s scored 21 runs on 37 hits. They had a team average of .319 (37 for 116) over the weekend with 12 doubles and three homers. They out-hit the Chisox in all three games in the series.

Jeremy Guthrie allowed two more homers today, but they were solo shots and he pitched eight solid innings. He gave up just three hits and the two runs, improving to 7-8, 5.12.
Guthrie had pitched to an ERA of 6.23 over his previous seven starts. His eight-inning outing ties for his longest of the year. He also pitched eight frames May 3rd at Toronto.
It’s the 4th time in 19 starts that Guthrie had allowed 2ER or less. Last year he did that 17 times in 30 starts.
The O’s even the season series, 3-3 with the White Sox and are now 9-7 vs. AL Central opponents. The Birds are 15-29 in road games.
The O’s are 5-3 over the last eight games and 16-14 over the previous 30 contests.
Gregg Zaun had three hits, including a three-run homer today. Over his last ten games, he is batting .483 (14 for 29) with three homers and 7 RBI.
Brian Roberts had a hit today to extend his batting streak to five games. During the streak, he is 9 for 22 with 3 RBI. Aubrey Huff went 2 for 5 today to snap a 5 for 37 slump.
Nick Markakis went 0 for 3 ending his five-game batting streak. Nolan Reimold was 1 for 3 with an RBI. He has hit safely in four games in a row and is 6 for 15 with 3 RBI during that stretch.
The O’s begin a three-game series at Yankee Stadium tomorrow night. They are 3-6 vs. the Yankees this year. The O’s have lost seven in a row and 12 of their last 15 games in New York.
