The Orioles today announced that they have outrighted right-hander Steve Johnson to Triple-A Norfolk.
Johnson, 26, was 0-3 with a 6.23 ERA (47.2IP, 33ER) in 17 starts between Norfolk (13 starts), Aberdeen (three starts), and the Gulf Coast Orioles (one start). Johnson had surgery to remove a bone spur in his right shoulder on September 24.
The Orioles now have 39 players on their 40-man major league roster.
