The home of the Orioles opened its doors for its first official game on April 6, 1992. The Orioles beat the Indians 2-0 to officially christen their new home with a win. Chris Hoiles and Billy Ripken drove in back-to-back runs in the fifth inning, while Rick Sutcliffe pitched a complete-game shutout. At 12:30 p.m., catch opening day from 2003, otherwise known as “the snow game.” On March 31, 2003, the Orioles and Indians played through a 13-minute snow delay and 13 innings before Gary Matthews Jr. hit a walk-off single to give the Birds a 6-5 win.
