The Orioles today announced that they have placed infielder Jonathan Schoop on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained right knee. In a corresponding move, the Orioles have reinstated infielder Jimmy Paredes from the disabled list.
Paredes, 26, was placed on the 15-day disabled list to begin the season (retroactive to April 1) with a lower back strain. He made one rehabilitation appearance with Double-A Bowie and went 1-for-4 with an RBI while starting at third base for the Baysox.

Schoop, 23, began the season with a .259 average (7-for-27) with three home runs and seven RBI in nine games (eight starts at second base).
