The Orioles today announced that they have placed infielder Ryan Flaherty on the 15-day disabled list with a right groin strain, retroactive to April 23. In a corresponding move, the Orioles have recalled infiedler Rey Navarro from Triple-A Norfolk.
Navarro, 25, played two games with Triple-A Norfolk this season, batting .429/.500/1.000 (3-7) with a home run and two RBI. In 885 games over nine minor league seasons, he hit .265/.313/.377 with 47 home runs, 363 RBI, and 74 stolen bases. Navarro…

Navarro, 25, played two games with Triple-A Norfolk this season, batting .429/.500/1.000 (3-7) with a home run and two RBI. In 885 games over nine minor league seasons, he hit .265/.313/.377 with 47 home runs, 363 RBI, and 74 stolen bases. Navarro will make his Major League debut in his first appearance with the Orioles. He will wear No. 43.
Flaherty, 28, has hit .300/.400/.600 with two home runs and four RBI over nine games with the Orioles this season.
