Yesterday’s off-day didn’t alleviate the problem.
Update: Jones told reporters in Boston that he’s confident he will avoid the DL, but he may not play before Friday. That’s the word on Twitter.

According to Elias, Sunday’s game in Toronto marked the second time in J.J. Hardy’s career that he produced a game-tying or go-ahead RBI in two plate appearances in the seventh inning or later, one of which stood up as the game-winner. Hardy also accomplished the feat for the Brewers on Aug. 16, 2008 when he hit a two-run go-ahead home run in the eighth inning at Dodger Stadium before his RBI single in the 10th resulted in a 4-3 victory.

Darren O’Day ranks fifth in the majors among relief pitchers with a 0.98 ERA, allowing three earned runs over 27 2/3 innings.

Ubaldo Jimenez is 4-1 with a 2.48 ERA at home this season and 1-2 with a 4.19 ERA on the road. He ranks first among Orioles starting pitchers and eighth in the American League with 8.96 strikeouts per nine innings.

Buck Showalter (1,295) is tied with Cap Anson for 32nd place on the all-time managerial wins list. Ned Hanlon (1,313) ranks 31st.
