The Braves will have to change their starter for Wednesday night. Manny Banuelos has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with left elbow inflammation. They selected right-hander David Carpenter’s contract from Triple-A Gwinnett.
In case you missed it, the Royals acquired Ben Zobrist from the Athletics for minor league pitchers Aaron Brooks and Sean Manaea. The Orioles have liked Zobrist for years, though one official expressed concerns over the decline in production.
