Davis has hit safely in 11 of his last 13 games, batting .300/.375/.700 (15-for-50) with six home runs and 17 RBIs.

Shortstop J.J. Hardy will try to extend his hitting streak to 14 games.

Chris Tillman said his left ankle remains sore – he has it wrapped – but there’s been improvement. He sprained it Wednesday night while covering first base in the ninth inning.

Tillman said if he can’t make Monday night’s start, he would only be pushed back a day or two.
