The Kansas City Royals are one win from heading to the World Series for a second straight year. The Toronto Blue Jays are two wins from a 3-1 comeback in the American League Championship Series.

The teams meet tonight at K.C.’s Kauffman Stadium with the Royals looking to end the series and Toronto, down 3-2 in games, looking to extend it to a seventh and final game.

The Blue Jays won 7-1 on Wednesday to stay alive in the ALCS. Troy Tulowitzki hit a three-run homer and Marco Estrada gave up just one run and three hits over 7 2/3 innings.

Toronto is 4-0 in elimination games this postseason, scoring 26 runs as the Blue Jays rallied from 2-0 down against Texas and from 1-3 behind against K.C. In three ALCS losses, Toronto has scored five total runs. In its two wins, Toronto has scored 18 runs.

On the mound tonight, Blue Jays left-hander David Price faces Royals right-hander Yordano Ventura. Price is 1-2 with a 7.02 ERA in three postseason games this year. Ventura is 0-1 with an ERA of 6.57 in three games.

After sweeping the Orioles four straight in the 2014 ALCS, the Royals look to end this series in six games tonight. The Royals are 6-2 in their past eight playoff home games.

Teams with a 3-1 lead in a best-of-seven series have advanced 67 out of 79 times. The Royals have two chances at home to get back to the World Series. The last team to overcome a 3-1 deficit was the 2012 San Francisco Giants, who came back to beat the St. Louis Cardinals in the National League Championship Series. The Giants went on to win the World Series.
