If you’ve got some time before or after FanFest on Dec. 12, or just want to immerse yourself in some Baltimore sports history, head over to the outdoor pavilion at the Baltimore Museum of Industry at 1415 Key Highway.
On that day, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., the Babe Ruth Birthplace Foundation will offer area sports fans a unique opportunity to own a piece of some of the most iconic and memorable moments in Maryland Sports history.
A one-day sale will feature hundreds of photographs and graphics previously on display at the Babe Ruth Birthplace and the now-closed Sports Legends Museum. All items are museum-grade quality and were used to help interpret memorabilia on display. Those displays featured teams including the Orioles, Ravens and Colts, as well as area college programs. Legendary figures like Michael Phelps, Johnny Unitas, Brooks Robinson, Eddie Murray, Cal Ripken Jr. and Babe Ruth are featured, as well.
In addition to photos and graphics, a limited quantity of bricks from Memorial Stadium and the Babe Ruth Birthplace will also be available for purchase.
These are the kind of items that would be perfect additions to your man cave or perfect gifts for the hard-to-buy-for sports fan on your holiday shopping list.
All items will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. With any purchase, buyers will receive half-off admission to the Baltimore Museum of Industry. Parking is free on the museum lot.
