Orioles make series of roster moves

The Orioles today announced that they have tendered contracts to eight arbitration-eligible players: infielders Ryan Flaherty and Manny Machado, first baseman/outfielder Mark Trumbo, right-handers Brad Brach, Miguel Gonzalez and Chris Tillman, and left-handers Zach Britton and Brian Matusz. Additionally, outfielder Nolan Reimold and right-hander Vance Worley have agreed to terms on contracts for 2016, avoiding arbitration.

Infielder Paul Janish, outfielder David Lough and right-hander Steve Johnson were not tendered contracts by the club, allowing them to become free agents.
Flaherty, 29, batted .202/.281/.356 with nine home runs and 31 RBI in 91 games for the Orioles in 2015.
Machado, 23, hit .286/.359/.502 with a career-high 35 home runs and 86 RBI.
Trumbo, 29, batted .262/.310/.449 with 22 home runs and 64 RBI in 142 games between Seattle (96 games) and Arizona (46 games) in 2015.
Brach, 29, went 5-3 with a 2.72 ERA (24 ER/79.1 IP) in 62 relief appearances.
Gonzalez, 31, went 9-12 with a 4.91 ERA (79 ER/144.2 IP) in 26 starts.
Tillman, 27, went 11-11 with a 4.99 ERA (96 ER/173.0 IP) in 31 starts.
Britton, 27, posted a 1.92 ERA (14 ER/65.2 IP) with 36 saves in 64 relief appearances.
Matusz, 28, posted a 2.94 ERA (16 ER/49.0 IP) with 56 strikeouts in 58 relief appearances.
Reimold, 32, hit .247/.344/.394 with six home runs and 20 RBI in 61 games.
Worley, 28, went 4-6 with a 4.02 ERA (32 ER/71.2 IP) in 23 games (eight starts) with Pittsburgh. He was claimed off waivers by the Orioles from the Pirates on October 20.
Janish, 33, hit .286/.278/.371 with three doubles, three RBI, and four runs scored in 14 games.
Lough, 29, batted .201/.241/.313 with four home runs and 12 RBI in 84 games.
Johnson, 28, posted a 10.13 ERA (6 ER/5.1 IP) over six relief appearances.
