On the day Miguel Tejada wasn’t scheduled to make the trip to Port Charlotte, he arrived at the Sarasota complex early and stayed late to work out at third base with Mike Bordick.
Tejada has made a couple of nice plays at third in the games he’s started, and he might be further along than the Orioles anticipated as he switches to a new position.
“Tejada has just been tremendous,” manager Dave Trembley said. “He looks more comfortable every time. He’s a player. He’s a baseball player. He’ll be OK. He’ll be better than OK.”
