Update:
It happened. Chris Tillman has thrown a no-hitter for Triple-A Norfolk in a 6-0 victory over Gwinnett. He walked one and struck out six. He threw 105 pitches, 63 for strikes.
Tillman got three ground balls in the ninth, the last from Matt Young. Robert Andino fielded it and made the throw to Michael Aubrey.
That’s the first nine-inning no-hitter for Norfolk since Dave Telgheder accomplished the feat on May 19, 1992.
