I’m watching Family Guy and cleaning up from the spaghetti dinner I prepared for my little one, but there’s always time to check on the affiliates.
Triple-A Norfolk’s Brandon Erbe turned in his finest outing of the season, allowing one run and three hits over six innings against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. He walked three and struck out a season-high six.
Too bad the Tides managed only three hits and lost.

I told you earlier that Koji Uehara registered a scoreless inning, allowing one hit on the latest stop of his injury-rehab assignment. He threw eight pitches, seven for strikes. He tossed two pitches to each batter he faced.
Uehara will return to the mound tomorrow night.
The Tides are just thrilled that they finally opened the door to the Asian market.
The Double-A Bowie Baysox have been swept in two consecutive series following today’s 4-1 loss to the Richmond Flying Squirrels.
After getting off to the best start in club history through the first 16 games, the Baysox are 12-12 and sitting in fourth place in the Eastern League’s Western Division.
Bobby Valentine is rumored to be replacing manager Brad Komminsk.

Bowie starter Ryohei Tanaka gave up four runs and five hits in six innings. Tanaka, Jim Hoey and Chad Thall combined to retire the last 12 batters Richmond sent to the plate.
Too late.
Tyler Henson was 2-for-3 with a double and a walk to leave his average at .299.
Single-A Frederick’s Nate Nery went a season-high seven innings for his first win of the season, allowing two runs and seven hits, walking one and striking out four. He retired 12 straight Myrtle Beach batters.
Outfielder Xavier Avery, the Orioles’ second-round pick in 2008, went 4-for-5 with a double, RBI and two runs scored. He’s batting .322.
That was fun. Let’s do this again tomorrow.
