The Orioles today announced that they have recalled catcher Francisco Pena from Triple-A Norfolk and placed catcher Caleb Joseph on the 15-day disabled list with a testicular injury suffered in the May 30 game vs. Boston.
Peña, 26, batted .200/.241/.250 (16-for-80) with two doubles, a triple, and six RBI in 24 games with Triple-A Norfolk this season. He hit safely in five of his last six games with the Tides, batting .353/.421/.353 (6-for-17) in that span. Over 808 career minor league…

Peña, 26, batted .200/.241/.250 (16-for-80) with two doubles, a triple, and six RBI in 24 games with Triple-A Norfolk this season. He hit safely in five of his last six games with the Tides, batting .353/.421/.353 (6-for-17) in that span. Over 808 career minor league games, he batted .237/.286/.375 with 80 home runs and 358 RBI. Peña has played in nine career Major League games.
Joseph, 29, hit .182/.239/.212 (12-for-66) over 23 games with the Orioles this season.
