A few readers wondered about the decrease in Guthrie’s velocity. I checked MASN’s live boxscore, and Guthrie’s fastball was clocked at 92, 92, 90, 92 and 92 mph as he struck out Nick Punto looking to record the second out in the seventh inning and end his afternoon.
Update: The two-out RBI hits just keep coming. Adam Jones singled to score Cesar Izturis and increase the Orioles’ lead to 7-3 in the top of the eighth.
