The Orioles today announced that they have recalled right-handed pitcher Mike Wright from Triple-A Norfolk.
Wright, 26, has gone 3-4 with a 6.12 ERA (44 ER/64.2 IP) over 13 games (12 starts) with the Orioles this season. He went 1-0 with a 0.87 ERA (2 ER/20.2 IP) and 13 strikeouts in three starts with the Tides this season. Over 25 career Major League games (21 starts), Wright has gone 6-9 with a 6.09 ERA (74 ER/109.1 IP) and 72 strikeouts. He was named the Orioles Jim Palmer Minor League…

He was named the Orioles Jim Palmer Minor League Pitcher of the Year in 2013 and went 39-22 with a 3.69 ERA (225 ER/548.2 IP) and 439 strikeouts over 103 career minor league games (98 starts).
