David Hernandez takes his one-hit shutout into the fifth inning and serves up Ryan Langerhans’ first home run of the season. It came on his fourth pitch of the inning, a 92 mph fastball.
Naturally.
A bases-loaded walk to Chone Figgins with two outs has increased Seattle’s lead to 2-0. Hernandez issued an intentional walk to Ichiro Suzuki with first base open after retiring him twice on bouncers to the mound. It still seemed like the right move.
