Jonathan Schoop’s 16 home runs match his career-high in 2014, and he is tied with the Nationals’ Daniel Murphy for the third-most dingers in the majors among second basemen.
Since June 1, Schoop is batting .344 (55-for-160) with 16 doubles, eight home runs, 26 RBIs and 32 runs scored. His 16 doubles lead all hitters during that span, while his 55 hits are tied for third and his .344 batting average ranks sixth.
