Catching a day game after a night game is unusual for the Orioles, but Joseph’s still feeling fresh and should be able to handle it.

Joseph is 6-for-10 in his last three games. Three consecutive two-hit games. Still no RBIs, but he’s become more of a threat to get one.

Melvin Upton, Jr. hasn’t walked through the clubhouse door, but we’re keeping an eye out for him. A starting pitcher remains the top priority, but the loudest trade buzz surrounds Upton.

I’ll provide my yearly reminder that teams have scouts scattered throughout the majors. It’s not really worth mentioning if one is spotted at a game unless it’s one of the top guys or an executive. That’s when it gets interesting.

Mark Trumbo reached 30 home runs last night, four shy of his career high set in 2013 with the Angels. Trumbo didn’t hit his 30th that year until Sept. 6 against the Rangers.

“I think he wants to get something he can reach and whack it,” said Indians manager Terry Francona. “I’m guessing that he’s in a good lineup, good ballpark and probably confident as hell. He’s so dangerous.”

J.J. Hardy has eight hits in his last 15 at-bats and is 23-for-64 (.359) this month.

The Orioles are turning the Vanimal loose again today. Vance Worley is making another start and his second career appearance against the Indians after allowing two runs (one earned) in 4 1/3 relief innings on May 28.

Worley was replacing Jimenez, who lasted only 1 2/3 innings.

The current Indians are 5-for-22 against Worley. Rajai Davis and Juan Uribe are 2-for-5.

Corey Kluber is 9-8 with a 3.42 ERA in 19 starts, including three complete games and two shutouts. He’s registered a 1.023 WHIP in 129 innings.

Kluber went 4-1 with a 2.19 ERA in five June starts, with a 0.703 WHIP in 37 innings. He’s allowed six runs in 18 1/3 innings this month.

Kluber is 1-1 with a 3.42 ERA in four career starts against the Orioles and 1-1 with a 4.34 ERA in three starts at Camden Yards.

Ryan Flaherty is 5-for-11 against Kluber. Does manager Buck Showalter find a spot for him in today’s lineup?

Hardy is 4-for-8 with a double and home run. Chris Davis is 1-for-11 with a double and five strikeouts.
