That’s seven outfield assists for the Orioles – all the outs coming at home plate.
The Orioles are three outs away from a 5-0 loss, with Jake Westbook scattering eight hits and the Orioles stranding six runners..
Last night’s defeat was a swift kick in the groin. The Orioles needed that game. Now they’re about to lose this series to the Indians.
Update: They lost this series to the Indians. Westbrook retired nine straight batters and 12 of 13 before Luke Scott homered with two outs in the ninth to end the shutout bid. He went to the opposite field again, just as he did with his single in the second inning and his grand slam on Thursday.
The game lasted 2 hours, 17 minutes.
Finally, some good news.
