Nathan Nery held Potomac to an unearned run and two hits over six innings, with one walk and five strikeouts.

Single-A Delmarva’s Matt Hobgood, the Orioles’ top pick in last year’s draft, has allowed three runs (two earned) and four hits, with two walks and three strikeouts, over four innings in the Shorebirds’ game against West Virginia. He’s thrown two wild pitches and hit a batter.

Back at Camden Yards, Kevin Millwood has retired the first nine Royals in order. He struck out the side in the third inning, giving him four Ks.
