Nolan Reimold is serving as the designated hitter tonight for Triple-A Norfolk. Brandon Snyder is starting at first base. Rhyne Hughes is playing right field and Michael Aubrey’s in left.

Center fielder Xavier Avery went 3-for-3 with an RBI today in Single-A Frederick’s 3-1 victory over Potomac. Third baseman Billy Rowell was 1-for-2 with an RBI.

Single-A Delmarva’s Matt Hobgood, the Orioles’ top pick in last year’s draft, has allowed three runs (two earned) and four hits, with two walks and three strikeouts, over four innings in the Shorebirds’ game against West Virginia. He’s thrown two wild pitches and hit a batter.
Back at Camden Yards, Kevin Millwood has retired the first nine Royals in order. He struck out the side in the third inning, giving him four Ks.
