Tonight’s attendance: 9,715.
Corey Patterson was peppering the press box with foul balls, almost wiping out the AP’s Dave Ginsburg on two occasions.
Ginsburg bailed on one ball that slammed off his television. I think his chair’s still rolling backward. Just not sure if he’s in it.
Patterson struck out. Ginsburg lucked out.
Luke Scott homered again tonight, giving him eight on the season. He’s accounted for the Orioles’ lone run off Zack Greinke through six innings.

Scott is 14-for-32 in his last nine games, with a double, five homers and 10 RBIs. As I wrote earlier, manager Dave Trembley is trying to find a way to keep Scott in the lineup when the Orioles lose their DH for the interleague series in D.C.
I know what you’re thinking: Will Trembley still be making that decision by the weekend. We’re all wondering the same thing as this game winds down. We just don’t know.
He did seem to be in a better mood earlier today, if that means anything. I honestly don’t know if it does.
Triple-A Norfolk’s Josh Bell is 1-for-2 tonight, but he’s also committed two errors, giving him eight this season. Nolan Reimold is 0-for-2.
Brandon Erbe has allowed four runs and five hits, including two homers, in four innings.
Single-A Delmarva’s Matt Hobgood dropped to 2-3 with a 4.97 ERA after allowing five earned runs (six total) and six hits in five innings, with three walks and four strikeouts.
Update: Scott homered again in the seventh, lining the ball onto the flag court in right. Crazy, isn’t it? Kansas City 3, Orioles 2.
