Chris Tillman pitches for Triple-A Norfolk when it hosts Pawtucket. Tillman is 3-4, 3.83 on the year. But over his last five starts, he is 3-1, 2.57 and has walked just five and fanned 26 over 35 innings.
Norfolk is 16-24 after getting blanked 6-0 by the Pawsox last night. The Tides have lost six of seven.
Michael Aubrey is batting .441 (15 for 34) over his last 11 games with two homers and 5 RBI. Josh Bell has 21 RBI his last 28 games. The Baysox are 8-20 since starting the season at 9-1. The Sox recently added relievers Mike Hinckley and Brandon Cooney. Steve Johnson is second in the Eastern League with 40 strikeouts while Joel Guzman has eight homers to tie for the league lead.
Caleb Joseph is batting .317 in May after a slow start and converted reliever Pedro Beato has pitched to an ERA of 0.87.
At 24-15, Frederick has the best record on the O’s farm. Frederick leads the Northern Division by a whopping seven games and has won six of nine.
The Keys swept a doubleheader from Potomac last night by 3-1 and 3-2 scores. The Keys bullpen, with an ERA of 2.75, has been outstanding all year.
Kenny Moreland (2-2, 5.45) pitches for Frederick at home tonight vs. Potomac.
Delmarva split a doubleheader at West Virginia last night and plays there tonight with Jesse Beal (3-2, 3.77) on the mound. The Birds are 18-20.
Tyler Kolodny has four homers in his last 13 at bats. He has 10 on the year and that is second in the Sally League. He has 9 RBI his last four games.
Delmarva is 4-10 over its last 14 games.
