SARASOTA, Fla. – Pedro Ãlvarez is serving as the Orioles’ designated hitter today and Mark Trumbo is in right field for a 1:05 p.m. game against the Blue Jays at Ed Smith Stadium.
Chris Johnson is playing third base while Manny Machado remains out of camp. Machado is expected back on Wednesday, though he might not be in the lineup.
Paul Janish is playing second base. Jonathan Schoop will be back soon now that Team Netherlands has been eliminated in the World Baseball Classic.
