NEW YORK – Caleb Joseph is behind the plate today for Ubaldo Jiménez’s start against the Yankees.
The Orioles have Seth Smith leading off and playing right field, with Hyun Soo Kim in left. Pretty standard lineup against a right-hander who doesn’t throw a knuckleball.
Jonathan Schoop has reached base in his last 15 games since April 12, the second-longest streak of his career, and is batting .352/.367/.704 with four doubles, five home runs and 14 RBIs in that span. He reached in 22…

Schoop is 5-for-14 with runners in scoring position this month.
Mark Trumbo last night was the first Oriole to hit a grand slam against the Yankees since Chris Davis on July 31, 2012 in the Bronx.
Trumbo now has 16 home runs in 50 regular-season games against the Yankees. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, he’s tied with Tino Martinez and Mo Vaughn for the fifth-most home runs over a player’s first 50 games vs. New York.
Only Albert Belle, Miguel Cabrera, Jose Canseco and Fred Whitfield have more (18).
