Kevin Millwood made it to the seventh inning, but he couldn’t finish it.
That’s pretty deep in the game, but not quite as far as manager Dave Trembley had hoped.
Millwood threw 113 pitches in 6 1/3, but all the scoring off him took place in the first on that bases-loaded triple. He turned in another quality start unless Will Ohman allows Ryan Zimmerman to score. He’ll remain winless on the year.

Millwood surrendered eight hits, walked one – the last batter he faced on an extremely close pitch – and struck out eight.
I keep going back to Roger Bernadina’s fly ball to deep center with the sacks full, and how it should have been caught. And how Corey Patterson held at second on Nick Markakis’ drive to deep center, eliminating any chance to score on Miguel Tejada’s bouncer to short.
It’s the little things that turn out big.
The Orioles had runners on the corners with two outs in the sixth, but Luke Scott struck out to kill the rally. They’ve managed only two hits. I guess they’re still exhausted from yesterday’s six-run outburst.
At Double-A Bowie, Chorye Spoone held New Hampshire to two runs and four hits over six innings, and Brandon Waring hit is sixth home run.
Single-A Delmarva’s Matt Hobgood tossed a scoreless first inning, but he allowed two hits and walked a batter.
