The Orioles are likely to play again tonight without one of their hottest hitters.
Luke Scott, who suffered a left shoulder strain in Sunday’s game at Washington, missed Tuesday’s game and is not in tonight’s starting lineup.
But he said the injury is progressing.

“Yeah (I’m encouraged). I went home last night and I flushed my body and drank a lot of alkaline water and took a lot of green foods. I put the stim machine on my shoulder and ran a few cycles of that on there. Iced it a few times and it feels much better.”
He was asked if he thought he would be able to play Thursday.
“I hope so.”
Scott is batting .273-9-20 on the year and is second on the team in homers and RBI. Over his last 14 games, he is batting .423 (22 for 52) with three doubles, six homers and 12 RBI.
In his first 24 games, he hit just .177-3-8.
