The Orioles begin a four-game series tonight against the Tigers with a chance to return to .500 for the first time since June 29.
Manager Buck Showalter is breaking out his right-handed lineup against Tigers left-hander Matthew Boyd, with Craig Gentry in left field, Joey Rickard in right and Trey Mancini as the designated hitter.
Tim Beckham continues to bat sixth as the shortstop.
The rotation has allowed three earned runs in the last 35 2/3 innings, lowering its ERA from 5.98 to 5.65….
