OAKLAND, Calif. – The Orioles’ road trip begins its second stop tonight as they start a four-game series against the Oakland A’s.
Tonight’s lineup has Tim Beckham in the leadoff spot, Adam Jones batting fourth and Chris Davis starting the game on the bench. Beckham hit leadoff for seven games with the Rays batting .226 (7-for-31). Also, Joey Rickard returns after leaving yesterday’s game when he was hit in the helmet with a pitch.

The Orioles went 1-3 at Oakland last year. They lost the first three games of the series by scores of 3-2, 2-1 and 1-0 before a 9-6 win in the series finale. They are 8-9 at Oakland since the 2012 season.
Lefty Wade Miley (5-9, 5.51 ERA) gets the start. He is 1-0 with a 3.60 ERA in his past two starts against Texas and Detroit. Miley is 2-1 with a 1.80 ERA in three career starts versus Oakland.
The A’s are 50-64 and last in the American League West, 21 ½ games behind Houston. Oakland is 31-27 at home and 12-13 when playing an AL East opponent.
