Well, at least that didn’t take too long.
Toronto beat the Orioles 6-1 to complete the three-game sweep today as the Orioles scored just three runs in the series.
The Orioles are 0-6 vs. the Jays on the year and have lost eight in a row and 17 of their last 19 games at Rogers Centre.

They have now lost five in a row, nine of 11 and 12 of the last 15 contests and are 6-18 on the season vs. the AL East.

Is that bad?
After Nick Markakis plated a run with a single in the first, the O’s offense went dormant. Again.
In the three-game series the Orioles hit just .207 and had just one extra-base hit. They were out-homered 9-0 over the three games.
The Blue Jays added insult to injury when Jose Bautista and Alex Gonzalez led off the last of the eighth with back-to-back homers off Will Ohman, a pitcher that not allowed a run all year over 15 2/3 innings.
In the series, Blue Jays starters allowed just 3 ER over 23 innings and Ricky Romero (5-2) pitched a complete-game six-hitter this afternoon. Jeremy Guthrie (3-5) took the loss, allowing four runs over six frames.
After an off day Monday, the Birds begin a series at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday night. Things will get better there, right?
Coming tomorrow: More with O’s scouting director Joe Jordan, one week before the draft.
