Our first Throwback Thursday moment of this offseason came all they way back on Nov. 2, when we highlighted Manny Machado’s three-homer night capped off by a walk-off grand slam against the Angels.

Our first Throwback Thursday moment of this offseason came all they way back on Nov. 2, when we highlighted Manny Machado’s three-homer night capped off by a walk-off grand slam against the Angels.
Well, for this weeks’ #TBT moment, we’re going back to the end of that very same homestand. After Machado opened the six-game stand at Camden Yards with the walk-off slam, he closed it with another walk-off home run against the Athletics. After having lost three of their previous four games, Machado’s homer on Aug. 23 in the 12th inning gave the Orioles an 8-7 win and started a seven-game winning streak.

Thursday, Feb. 8, 9 a.m. – Jonathan Schoop’s walk-off home run in the ninth carried the Orioles past the Nationals for a 3-2 win on July 10, 2015.
Friday, Feb. 9, 9 a.m. – Here’s another Machado walk-off homer against the A’s. This one came back on Aug. 14, 2015, when Machado’s 13th-inning bomb gave the Birds an 8-6 win.
Friday, Feb. 9, 7 p.m. – Let’s relive that walk-off grand slam against the Angels while we’re at it, shall we? Machado’s epic three-homer night came on Aug. 18 in front of a raucous home crowd.
Sunday, Feb. 11, 1 p.m. – Chris Davis’ two-homer night gave the Orioles a wild win over the Tigers in 13 innings on May 16 of last year in Detroit.
Monday, Feb. 12, 11:30 a.m. – In speaking of the Tigers, on July 18, 2015, Chris Tillman gave up a leadoff single to Ian Kinsler and then nothing else in an eight-inning gem. Zach Britton came on to close out the 3-0 victory at Comerica Park.
Tuesday, Feb. 13, 9 a.m. – Every O’s fan remembers Mother’s Day 2016. The Orioles hit six home runs against the A’s to cruise to an 11-3 victory for the ultimate present to O’s moms everywhere.
Wednesday, Feb. 14, 11 a.m. – In 2012, the Orioles started a new era of winning baseball in Baltimore. With Machado’s walk-off single in the bottom of the 14th inning on Sept. 13, the Orioles ended a streak of 14 straight losing seasons with a 3-2 win over the Rays.
Wednesday, Feb. 14, 7 p.m. – On May 9 this past year, the Orioles rallied to shock the Nationals in 12 innings. Mark Trumbo drove in the game-winning RBI for a 5-4 victory over their local rivals.
