In his three career starts against the Twins, Cashner has allowed five earned runs (six total) and 16 hits in 21 innings. Sano has two home runs in five at-bats, but the Twins optioned him last month.

Right-hander Aaron Slegers is making his first start tonight and his second appearance after holding the Royals to two runs over 5 1/3 relief innings on May 30. A fifth round pick in 2013, Slegers appeared in four games with the Twins last season, including three starts, and allowed 11 earned runs (12) total and 12 hits in 15 1/3 innings.

None of the Orioles have faced him.

The Twins went 1-8 on their road trip.

The Orioles have lost 20 of their last 25 games. They’ve scored two runs or fewer in 37 games and one run or less in 23.

First round pick Grayson Rodriguez tossed a scoreless inning today in his professional debut in the Gulf Coast League, walking two batters and striking out one. Leonardo Rodriguez followed with six scoreless innings.
