The Orioles wasted yet another decent starting pitching performance tonight.
For the second night in a row, the Orioles scored just once vs. the New York Mets.
Jeff Francoeur and Jose Reyes hit solo homers off Brian Matusz as the Mets posted a 3-1 win over the Orioles in front of 42,248 at Camden Yards. The Orioles fall to 17-45.
The Mets entered Baltimore with a road record of 8-18 but have now won their first road series all year and have back-to-back road wins for the first time since…The Orioles wasted yet another decent starting pitching performance tonight.

The Mets entered Baltimore with a road record of 8-18 but have now won their first road series all year and have back-to-back road wins for the first time since last July 25 and 26.
Matusz is now 2-7, 4.92 on the season and he has lost seven consecutive decisions. But over his last three starts, Matusz has pitched to an ERA of 2.66.
Winning pitcher Hisanori Takahashi improved to 5-2, 3.48, allowing just one run over seven frames. Nick Markakis went 2 for 4 with an RBI double for the Birds.
The Orioles fall to 2-6 on this homestand, 1-4 vs. the National League, 11-20 at home and 2-37 when scoring fewer than four runs.
In the series finale, Sunday afternoon at 1:35, Kevin Millwood (0-7, 4.64) pitches for the Orioles vs. right-hander Mike Pelfrey (8-1, 2.23).
