The Orioles announced two more international signings today following yesterday’s trade of bonus slots to the Phillies.
They’re working both sides of the international street.
The club has agreed to terms with Dominican infielder Moises Ramirez, 16, and right-hander Carlos del Rosario, 19, to bring the number of their confirmed signings to three players.

“Today’s signings are part of a coordinated plan for the Orioles to reestablish the club in the international recruiting arena,” executive vice president Dan Duquette said in a statement.
“Ramirez has all the tools to be a solid offensive player in the middle of the diamond, and del Rosario has the size and pitches to develop into a major league pitcher. Our player development staff looks forward to working with them to further develop their skills.”
The Orioles announced last week that they signed Dominican switch-hitting outfielder Isaac Bellony, 16. Ramirez’s signing had been reported, though the club didn’t reveal it until today.
MLB.com also has listed Dominican outfielder Damien Valdez, center fielder J’Rudjeanon Isenia of Curaçao and Dominican right-hander Kelvin LaRoche as players headed to the Orioles’ organization.
The Orioles sent international signing bonus slot money to the Phillies yesterday for Gulf Coast League infielder Jack Zoellner, 23, a ninth-round pick in the 2017 draft out of New Mexico.
Zoellner, a first baseman this summer who’s also played third professionally, was batting .236/.364/.422 with five doubles, two triples, seven home runs and 26 RBIs in 47 games with the GCL Phillies.
