Yefry Ramírez is making his first start since Aug. 19 in Cleveland, when he allowed seven runs and seven hits and walked five batters in three innings. He moved to the bullpen for his next four appearances, beginning with three scoreless innings against the Yankees.

The White Sox are getting their first look at Ramírez beyond video and scouting reports.

White Sox right-hander Reynaldo López is 5-9 with a 4.22 ERA and 1.310 WHIP in 29 starts this season. He was signed by the Nationals, who relinquished him in the Adam Eaton deal on Dec. 7, 2016.

Lucas Giolito also was involved in the trade, and he starts Sunday afternoon.

López is hoping for smoother sledding than his first start against the Orioles on Aug. 23, 2016 at Camden Yards. He lasted 2 2/3 innings and allowed four earned runs (six total) and seven hits with three walks.

Jace Peterson has the most plate appearances against López, going 0-for-4 with three walks. Jones is 2-for-2 with an RBI and Chris Davis is 1-for-2.

The Orioles are 9-22 against the American League Central this year.
