Dennis Sarfate picked up his ninth save tonight for Triple-A Norfolk, walking a batter and striking out two. His fastball topped out at 99 mph.
I wonder if the Orioles will give him another look. He’s doing everything possible to get noticed.

Steve Johnson took the loss against Reading after allowing six runs and five hits in five innings – including a grand slam – with five walks and five strikeouts. Pat Egan threw three perfect innings in relief.
Single-A Frederick’s Buck Britton went 4-for-5 with two doubles and two RBIs. Oliver Drake held Winston-Salem to two runs over 6 2/3 innings.
Single-A Delmarva’s Tyler Kelly went 3-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI, and left-hander Nathan Morneau shut out Lexington on four hits over six innings.
Also, I heard earlier tonight (or is it last night, judging by the time?) that the Orioles traded reliever Ryan Ouellette to the White Sox, though I didn’t catch the rest of the transaction. It hasn’t been announced.
Ouellette made the Eastern League All-Star Team last year. The Orioles recently took him off Bowie’s roster and later added reliever Bob McCrory.
Mike Miller, who does an outstanding job tracking the Baysox for Orioles Hangout, also is reporting the trade. Perhaps more details will surface tomorrow (or is it today, judging by the time?).
