O’s fourth-round draft pick Trent Mummey is at Camden Yards watching the Orioles tonight.
Mummey had his physical in Baltimore this week and it appears everything checked out fine, as expected. The outfielder from Auburn is expected to join the Aberdeen IronBirds in the next few days. The 21-year-old Mummey hit .366-17-54 in 36 games in college this year after beginning the season missing 28 games with an ankle injury.

Meanwhile an O’s official did confirm tonight that minor league pitcher Vito Frabizio has been released. The soon to be 21-year-old right-hander from West Islip, New York, was signed by the O’s as a non-drafted free agent in January of 2008.
Last year he went 4-4, 2.96 in 12 starts for Bluefield. This year he reportedly had some arm problems and his velocity was down and he was never assigned to a minor league team before his recent release.
I wrote a story on Vito over this past winter and enjoyed talking to him. I sure wish him well.
