SARASOTA, Fla. – The Orioles get to again experience the sheer joy of making a trip to Dunedin to play the Blue Jays, and it’s in an extremely rare night game. Under the lights. Hasn’t happened, I’m told, in a very long time.
Perhaps the traffic going back to Sarasota will be a little more tolerable.

Mike Wright makes his final spring start before learning his fate, which is more likely whether he’s in the rotation or bullpen. He opposes Aaron Sanchez tonight.
Wright had followed 10 straight scoreless innings with six runs and 14 hits allowed in 7 2/3.
Cedric Mullins is leading off and playing center field. Mark Trumbo is batting second again as the designated hitter and Chris Davis is the first baseman and cleanup hitter.
Drew Jackson is in left field for his professional debut at the position. Joey Rickard gets the start in right field and Jesús Sucre is catching.
Sucre’s opt-out date arrived today, so he’s definitely on the team. He hasn’t been told officially, but he’s made it if he’s on the trip. Stands to reason.
Hanser Alberto is playing third base. Renato Núñez is supposed to replace Trumbo later tonight as the designated hitter to test his sore right biceps.
Eric Young Jr. was hugging teammates today, a sign that he’s been cut. More to come later.
John Means and Pedro Araujo are listed among the available relievers. The Orioles must decide whether to carry Araujo on the opening day roster or put him on waivers and, if he clears, offer him back to the Cubs.
