Anderson is 6-4 with a 3.89 ERA and 1.373 WHIP in 14 starts over 78 2/3 innings. He’s surrendered only seven home runs and he’s averaging only 4.9 strikeouts per nine innings.

Anderson started against the Orioles on April 9 and allowed two runs in 6 2/3 innings. He has a 6.00 ERA and 1.476 WHIP in four career starts.

Dwight Smith Jr. is starting in left field tonight for Triple-A Norfolk as he begins an injury rehab assignment that’s expected to last only a couple of games before he joins the Orioles on the West Coast. Manager Brandon Hyde laid out the plan Sunday.
