Sanchez made his Astros debut last Saturday and joined three other pitchers on a combined no-hitter against the Mariners. Sanchez handled the first six frames.
The Orioles faced Sanchez on July 5 while he pitched for the Blue Jays and scored two runs in five innings. He walked four batters and struck out five. Davis homered off him.
Today marks Sanchez’s 20th career appearance and 15th start against the Orioles. He’s 6-4 with a 3.89 ERA and 1.494 WHIP in 85 2/3 innings.
Catcher Chance Sisco is 3-for-7 with two doubles against Sanchez. Jonathan Villar also is 3-for-7.
Trey Mancini is 2-for-13 with a triple.
