Millwood leads the American League with 19 home runs allowed, including 14 at Camden Yards.

After driving in just one run in 23 games from May 28 to June 23, Miguel Tejada has driven in seven runs in the last five games.

Nick Markakis leads all left-handed batters in average against left-handers at .387, with 12 doubles, one triple and one homer.

Matt Wieters has hit in six straight games, going 8-for-19 (.421) and has reached base in all seven games of this homestand.

“He has worked tremendously with Crow in the cages,” interim manager Juan Samuel said. “I’m sure Crow wanted him to do some things to get on top of the ball a little bit more, and we’ve been seeing that. I think it’s just showing some of the work he’s put in with Crow in the cages.”

Samuel said it’s possible that we’ll see Luke Scott at first base and Ty Wigginton at second on occasion once Felix Pie returns. That would allow Corey Patterson or Pie to serve as the DH.
